The word “Uso” literally means brother in the Samoan language. Not just an ordinary brother, it is someone considered very close to your heart. Uso Car Club was founded on this concept back in 1992 in the Los Angeles Harbor Area. After 10 years of lowriding, Uso Car Club changed its name to “Uce Car Club” due to legal issues with the United Service Organization (U.S.O.). Today there are nearly 40 chapters of Uce Car Club located worldwide. Chapters span across the contiguous United States, as well as Hawaii, Guam and even Stockholm, Sweden. Unlike many car clubs, the formula for Uce’s success is 90% person, 10% lowrider. In other words, the vehicle is important, but even more valuable is the person who will be representing our esteemed family. Members of Uce Car Club come from all different races, colors and creeds. In 1997 and 2004, Uce was bestowed the honor of Lowrider Club of the Year. Under the charismatic leadership of founder Kita Lealao, with help from Chief Executive Officer Jae Brattain, Uce is one big happy family that loves to lowride.
